BACOLOD City – The court recommended nobail bond for the temporary liberty of a rape suspect arrested in BarangayPoblacion 2, Sagay City, Negros Occidental. Resident Raymundo Jimenez was caught onthe strength of an arrest warrant on April 13, a police report showed. Police officers served the warrantissued by Judge Reginald Fuentebella of the Regional Trial Court Branch 73 inSagay City dated Jan. 29, 2019.Jimenez was detained in the custodial facility of the Sagay City policestation./PN

Firm to help plan aquatic center LA MIRADA – The City Council has agreed to hire Pasadena-based La Canada Design Group to provide final design concepts for Splash, the aquatic center now under construction, and the city gymnasium. The firm will be paid no more than $53,258. WEST WHITTIER – Adult Vocal Development classes will be offered from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays beginning April 10 in the music room at Pioneer High School, 10800 Benavon St. The class develops articulation, projection, stage presence, solo, group and ensemble singing. Instruction includes note reading and ear training and exposure to many styles of music, including classical, jazz and contemporary. The class will run through June 12. Study ordered on radio tower LA MIRADA – The city has hired Keeton Kreitzer Consulting to prepare an environmental impact report for a tower that KFI wants to rebuild. The company will be paid $53,000 – a fee that KFI will reimburse. The former 760-foot tower was struck down in an airplane accident about two years ago. KFI now wants to rebuild it at a reduced height of 684 feet.
