DONEGAL BOSTON JUNIORS RETIRE NO2 SHIRT IN HONOUR OF TOMÁS MAGUIRE

first_imgTHE DONEGAL Boston Gaelic Football Club Juniors has decided to permanently retire the side’s No2 shirt in honour of Ardara man Tomas Maguire, killed in a tragic accident in Australia last month.At the weekend as the exiles Junior B team played Championship match, Tomas’s jersey was draped at the ground in Canton, marking Tomas’ death – 1987-2012 etched on the back.Mr Maguire, who was 24, died in a traffic accident 200kms from Perth, Western Australia, a month ago. Tomas had played with the Boston side and was fondly remembered.At a previous game, Donegal Boston Seniors held a minute’s silence as club members paud tribute to him. They also retired their No2 jersey two weeks ago.Now the club’s juniors has decided to retire Tomas’ No2 jersey.
