This season he’s scored 44 goals in all competitions, suggesting he is far from finished in Europe. 10. Patrice Evra (Juventus) – While reaching the latter stages of his career, Evra, 34, has suggested he still has plenty left in the tank. He helped Juve to a Champions League final last season, and may feel his career in Europe isn’t over. 15 15 15 15 1. Michael Carrick (Manchester United) – check out the top 15 players who will be out of contract in the summer by clicking the arrow above, right – Three years after Sir Alex Ferguson retired, Manchester United are still a club in transition, and Carrick could be a notable departure in the summer. He’s remained a key player for Louis van Gaal this season, particularly with injury to Bastian Schweinsteiger, and it remains to be seen whether he’ll be let go, but there will be a number of Premier League clubs keen to tempt the five-time title winner. 15 4. Ben Chilwell (Leicester City) – Chilwell impressed in the first half of the campaign on loan at Huddersfield Town, and has been in demand since returning to Leicester in January. Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly interested in the 19 year old’s signature and the latter, according to Goal, are said to be his preferred destination. 15 6. Gregory van der Wiel (Paris Saint-Germain) – Van der Wiel has fallen hugely out of favour under Laurent Blanc this season and is poised to leave on a free transfer in the summer. His playing time has been limited, of which he has openly discussed his frustration. Chelsea were linked with an offer this time last year. 11. Fernando Torres (AC Milan) – Five goals in his last nine games, including a crucial away strike against Barcelona in the Champions League quarter final, may have persuaded Atleti chiefs to consider a permanent deal for the on loan striker. At 32, there may not be many top European clubs lining up for his signature, and he was linked with a move to China in February. 7. Sofiane Feghouli (Valencia) – Feghouli is out of contract in the summer and will reportedly be shown the exit, despite his key role in Valencia’s fourth-place finish last season. A number of clubs are likely to be interested in the winger, and according to reports, Fenerbahce, Liverpool and Manchester United are keen. 12. Wojciech Szcz?sny (Arsenal) – It could be a difficult few months for Szcz?sny, as his loan deal ending at Roma coincides with his contract expiring at parent club Arsenal. Despite often looking shaky, at 25 he has plenty of time to improve and could be a top signing for a club in need of strengthening their goalkeeping options. 9. James Morrison (West Bromwich Albion) – Morrison is a firm favourite at the Hawthorns, having been at the club for nine years, making over 275 appearances during this period. He is set to call time on his career with the Baggies and is said to be keen on a return to boyhood team Middlesbrough. 13. Kolo Toure (Liverpool) – Mamadou Sakho’s ban is likely to see Toure start regularly in Liverpool’s remaining fixtures, particularly after the terrible performance of Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren in their 3-1 defeat to Swansea City at the weekend. Whether this mean he’s staying, though, is unlikely. 15 15 15 15 5. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson (Manchester United) – Borthwick-Jackson was named this season’s Under 21 Player of the Year for United, and optimism is high that he has a bright future at Old Trafford. Surely the Red Devils won’t grant such a promising youngster an exit. 15 2. John Terry (Chelsea) – Chelsea supporters are desperate for their club’s captain to stay put, but the signs aren’t promising. The former England international openly discussed his disappointment at not being offered a new deal and it seems his time at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end. He did announce that he will not play for another Premier League club, if he leaves the Blues. 15 15 8. Tom Carroll (Tottenham Hotspur) – Carroll looked to have forced his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s squad over the Christmas period, and was expected to have more of a role in the second half of the campaign. With Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele excelling, opportunities have proved limited, however. An obvious talent, there could be a number of clubs interested in his situation. 14. Mathieu Flamini (Arsenal) – Flamini is expected to leave the Emirates in the summer, with a move to MLS currently being mooted. He’s unlikely to feature in Arsène Wenger’s plans for next season, but might not be ready to hang up his boots yet. 15 15. Francesco Totti (AS Roma) – Totti has been somewhat of a nuisance to Roma this season, with suggestions club chiefs feel his time has come to an end but his performances illustrating otherwise. The 39 year old has four goals in his last four games and may have earned himself a new deal, though.last_img
